don't cha just love some of those ebay adjectives? "MIND BLOWINGLY CLEAN" what is that in in the engine bay? how about around the radio antenna? and, there are some side markers missing.
and, what is up with the multiple pictures of the 1985 license plate, or inspection sticker?
anyway. this is a nice example of a great resto project. a simple vacuum cleaner job, and it is ready to drive. not too much detail work and she's ready for a Fiat meeting.

1608 Water Jackets are different from the 132 Series engines, (1608 is a 124 series engine).
Some people say they can make a 1608 work on a 1800. I forget which one but the bore spacings are different and the front water jacket is either missing or does not line up.
I'm pretty sure the 1592,1756,1995 are all from the 132 series engines.
1438 & 1608 are from the old 124 series engines. Fiat lengthen the block on the 132 engines to accommodate a larger bore, 84mm vs 80mm.
Did the guy ever call you?

Yes your correct about the bore sizes 80 for the 1438, 1608 and 1592
84 for the 1800 and 2L the stroke is the same for both the 1756 & 1592
79.2 mm and i don't understand why they had to change the stroke
from 80 mm that was on the 1608 ?
Whats even more interesting is the 1592 is almost impossible
to find I don't think i've ever seen one in person not once .
I know it was produced 73 to 74 but even 74 Spiders came with
1800 not sure at what point they crossed over ?
Oh well Thanks for the facts Ralph and no answer as of yet maybe
it's sold but it's only been a day .
