Show Your Support for Jon

Post by bandit »

Jon is a Member here and has many posts on the forum .

After speaking with Jon and his Brother I thought it would be
a good ideal to let all of you know that he is having A Kidney
transplant this month and maybe some of the other FS.com
members would like to wish him well .
I want to wish you good luck i really mean that, i hope everything
turns out perfect during the operation and the healing process
after and your Spider is up and running for you .

Good luck and Merry Christmas

Mark

His user name is Jon he spoke with you a week or 2 ago about
his spider engine .
He is stuck in the Hospital right now and most likely with an
operation like that he will be their for a few weeks after .
Not a great way to spend the holidays so i thought if he
had some support here from his friends on FS he might
feel a little better :)

Do you know what hospital? He lists his location as La Mesa(down in San Diego), but mentioned in one of his posts that he used the auto shop in Camp Pendelton. My sister in law works at the hospital in Camp Pendelton. If he's at the one in Camp Pendelton and is going to be there for a while, I could take him some Fiat related reading material to borrow(Guy Croft's book and a few old magazines that featured 124 spiders).

so this is Jon Vanderrark? Is he able to access the forum? I thought it was odd that he hadn't posted anymore just after his engine failed.

Can someone post an address to send cards? It would be neat if a ton of well wishes showed up at the hospital.

According to my sister in law, it could not be the hospital in Camp Pendelton where she works, as they do not do those kinds of operations there.

I have an old e-mail address from Jon, from 3 years ago, when he was just leaving his home in Washington to begin training with the Marines. I don't know if the address is still valid, and / or he would want the address public on the Forum. I sent a note to the address to ask if we can communicate to him thru that address, and if I get a reply, I will certainly post it here.
