found two terminals under hood where are others keep getting dim klight when load is on have new alt. help!!!!!
Re: ground connections
You have to always give the year of your spider. Things changed almost every other year on the wiring, to give a guess.
Re: ground connections
We need more info. One sentance does not explain much. Tell us what you did and why you did it. Why the new alternator? Can you post some pictures of the engine?
Re: ground connections
I know the later models ,'78 or '79 and up have 2 ground pods located in the engine compartment, one on each fender wall. That should be where your light grounds are. Check this site out some very good fiat electrical info: http://users.chartertn.net/jseabolt/elect.htm

Re: ground connections
In addition to the two ground pods on either fender in the engine compartment you also have another under the dash just to the right of the steering column (toward the center console). If you give us more details on the probelm / symptoms we can provide more advise.
BTW, dim headlights are normal if you haven't installed headlamp relays so that you aren't passing headlight amperage through the ignition switch. Lots of posts on this on this site. Is your alternator charge light coming on (dim or bright) when this happens?

Re: ground connections
Have you measured the voltage at the alternator output when you have the blower and other lights on?? The alternator should be maintaining 13.75 -14.25 volts. If it varies much more than that under different loads maybe the voltage regulator is not up to snuff or the new alternator itself is not doing its job.
