Re: ?????? How many left?
Okay, but you will laugh! It was a TR7 forum. I had come into a couple of non-running TR7s through odd circumstances, and I had plans to covert one to a TR8. The forum is at: http://www.forum.triumphtr7.com Really, a great bunch of members - much like here - and the map project was put together by one of them. I really liked it and it would be a nice addition to have a map where we can place a "pin" showing our cars.
Okay, you can stop laughing now.
So does anyone know how to put up a map that would do this?

13 more in the Spanish Spider Club, and we calculate more or less 50 units in Spain, most of them arrived from Germany or USA due the Spider was never sold here.

If 190.000 spiders were built between 1969 and 1985, I think in not crazy think in 30% may be still alive, and that represent
about 60.000 cars.
Not so bad!!

There were a couple of 'mapping' sites depicting Fiats accross the USA a few years ago. I put my name and car picture on at least 2 of them, but I'm not sure what has become of them. I believe one was called Frapper or something like that.

I downloaded my service manuals and wiring diagrams from them last summer. They have a great selection and some good how to's.ventura ace wrote:Very nice site! one driveable and one in the garage needing some work
Re: ?????? How many left?
In Australia, I would guess to be between 30 to 50 ?? PLEASE CORRECT ME IF YOU HAVE MORE ACCURATE INFO. and quite a few a for sale at the moment see carpoint.com.au and search for fiat 124.
No fiat spiders were sold here, all have been imported and most have been converted to right hand drive. Most are known to have come from California. I have a 1984 Azzurra.
SO based on the numbers people have reported on we are up to at least 100.
Ill be number 101 !

Re: ?????? How many left?
Sort of on topic...
I've pondered this before. Fiat Spiders are comparatively rare. And around here, for every Spider I see that's in good condition, I see another rotting away in someones yard.
So we can say for sure that there aren't too many Spiders out there, especially not the early models. Yet there were at least 3 times as many Ford Mustangs produced in the year 1965 than Spiders, for the entire time they were built. And for some reason, an original 1965 Mustang in good condition will sell for a lot more money than a good, original Fiat of any year, despite the fact that good Fiats are much more rare.

Have one, used to have a second.
And there are at least 2 more driving around in Lexington KY.

They are worth what people will pay for them. This is America and here people like stupid American cars, ergo a charger r/t hemi will easily sell for over 100 grand.bajacalal wrote:Sort of on topic...
