I have an 81 FI Spider, Bosch alternator, daily driver, and it did something odd on the way to work this morning.
The charge light blinked on for less than a second. This happened five or six times at about five minute intervals.
I had the headlights, radio, and heater blower on. On the second or third time, the radio blipped off - on.
After that I shut off the radio, and heater blower, and the light still blinked a few more times.
Sun up, I turned off the lights for the last 15 minutes of the trip. No more charge light.
Gotta love intermittent problems. I'm sure it's trying to tell me something. Regulator going?
I just don't speak fluent Fiat yet. Any interpreters listening?

Charge Light Blinks Momentarily
Re: Charge Light Blinks Momentarily
My '85 started as you told and than light battery always was on...i had to change alternator and i solved the problem.
Re: Charge Light Blinks Momentarily
bill, take that alternator to a rebuild shop. have them check it out, thoroughly. sounds like the regulator or alternator is getting ready to strand you somewhere.
a good shop will be able to rebuild your unit for less than what you can replace it for.
