Thanks Gents my brother told me there was a post up here showing support and I appreciate it. I had the distinct pleasure of learning to check what side effects pain medication may have and the opportunity to find out why you should not take generic medicine when the name brand has been taken off the market (namely, meloxicam).
The result was my kidney's failing pretty rapidly and I ended up receiving a kidney this month at Sharp Memorial after being taken care of up at Camp Pendleton for a few weeks. I think everything is back to normal, I don't feel sick, and my kidney's don't hurt (although I suppose since I only have one now, only one would hurt), but they didn't fix my back, so I'm still hobbling around.
For those who pray, if you could pray for my grandmother, my grandfather just died, and this is her second husband to pass away. I kind of chilled with family around MLK day and was going to go back to work for the first time in a while and instead I ended up going to a funeral and just got back. My grandmother's spirits are pretty low and I'm worried about her health in the near future as well. And my brother Matt contracted TB this month too, so he's feeling pretty drained as well.
As for my car.. I bought, or my brother did rather, an engine from Daniel (which I'm told I still have an engine to take up to! Darn if it hasn't been a long time!) and put it in the car with the help of the Camp P mechanics, but when I stopped by this morning to see it for the first time in 2 months, they didn't have a timing belt! They claim the timing belt for the 1800 engine is too small, but the belt for the 2000 is too large. Any suggestions? Daniel, I'll be calling you once I get near a phone also - Matt said I owe you a call! - so maybe you have a suggestion then.
If I have any PMs or Emails from anyone, it may take me just a couple more days to respond, as it feels like I just woke up from hibernation and am not sure how to tackle all these things at once!
Thanks again for the support.
Jon

Our prayers are with you and your family, Jon. It is good to know that you're on the road to recovery.
