Howdy,
I tried to remove the wiper arm by removing the nut off the stem coming out. But, that didn't work and now the nut won't screw back in properly because the arm has a metal tab interfering with lining up the nut and stem threads.
Any suggestions?
Thanks,
Clint
Windshield Wiper Arm
Clint,
Do you mean you were able to remove the retaining nut without removing the arm that holds the wiper blade?

if so, that tab is the item you want to pry with a flat blade screwdriver to remove the wiper arm from the spindle.
or, are you referring to the internal (under the cowl) arms that control the mechanism? that linkage requires the cowl to be unscrewed from the body to gain access. http://www.international-auto.com/index ... 82&noapp=1

or you can remove the whole mechanism and plug the holes in the cowl with these:

I know you can buy them at Lowe's.
