Hey, just trying to help. I wasn't real sure why it was asked, or maybe I misinterpreted the question. But anywho, that's the basics of the 1438cc power plant.

Sorry, no can help on the old fan. I'd like to see you convert to electric, since there is plenty of that around. I realize you would have to go thru the headache of wiring it up and getting a radiator temperature sensor installed, but that may be easier than finding the old parts that you are looking for. Good luck!

Pete just recently had a close call with a heart attack, and is recovering pretty well, all things considered. It will probably take him a while to catch up with things, and I would guess that he is going to try to not push himself so hard for a while. I guess you'll just have to just stay patient a while longer.

id like to bring up the oil pressure a little on this motor, so should i shim the spring a little in the centrifical filter along with the oil pump spring? this engine is bone stock down to the water pump mounted fan, but its looking real sharpe. i think when im done with it, ill make some changes to the built 2 liter in the 70.
also the nut on the front of the crank is not in the best shape. when my son dissassembled this motor i didnt have a 34mm socket. so he used an oversized socket with the air gun and beat the bejesus out of this nut. it might need to be replaced, and i dont have a spare........

cleaned the oil pump. measured the washer thickness under the spring. .025 thickness. took the washer off a 1608 oil pump on the shelf, washer measured .124, will this be to thick, thus raising the pressure to much. anyone have any ideas

I'm sure a have a used set of solid pullies. I just sent a set back to Jason to convert to adjustable, but I'm sure I can come up with a set. Don't shim the spring in the centrifigul filter
