Any landlords out there?

This has nothing to do with our cars, but oh my gosh! My wife and I bought a condominium as a rental property (for my son and daughter-in-law to live in). If you're a landlord, you'll be able to relate.

The condo was rented to this, uh, "lady" who had been there several years. The place is only 5 years old, so it's quite new. She had rabbits indoors and it stunk to high heaven, but no big deal since I was planning on replacing all flooring, pad and repainting. We never saw the place inside with her in it, we only saw it vacant. Seemed like a quick and easy clean-up from our inspections.

Man was I wrong!!! Not only did she have rabbits, but she kicked their crap under the washer, dryer, dishwasher, refrigerator, etc. It was everywhere. Of course, what does that attract? You got it...mice. Though they had been exterminated, their remnants were everywhere.

It's now clean and rodent free after nearly tearing the place apart over the last four days. I probably went through about 1.5 gallons of bleach to disinfect the place (thanks to the CDC for instruction on handling such infestations).

When I get the pictures of me in the hazmat suit cleaning the place, I'll post it. It should be pretty comical looking. You should have seen the looks I got from the neighbors!

According to one neighbor, she was one of those people you see on TV who are hoarders and can't even throw the garbage out. He said the garage was stacked sky high with trash. I can't imagine living like that.

Now, I need a loooooooooooooooooong drive in the Fiat with the top down. Yeeeeek, I'll never look at people the same.
