Utah Fiat Yard
Utah Fiat Yard
So i was driving around town the other day, and i found in Salt Lake City at 3rd west and 7th south a busniess building with no name on it and a fenced yard with about 10 Fiat Spiders just sitting there, some nice, and some beat up. So before i go and bust down the gate to get in, does any body from Salt Lake know any thing about the building or yard?

yes. That's goof-ball, I mean ... er.... i don't remember his name.
We've discussed him here before, but i can't find those threads either.
Here's my own personal experience (others' may differ):
the guy is a genuine nut-case.
Cool stuff that he's doin' nuthin' with, but doesn't really want to sell it either. When I finally got him talked out of a set of early-bumpers, he told me to "come take 'em off, you can have 'em"... didn't want me to pay him for them. But then I couldn't get him to be there when he said he would be for about 60 days.... and then when I finally caught him again, he didn't remember me, so it all started over again: won't sell.... i guess you can have 'em if you come take 'em off... no you can't do it today... let's do it 2 weeks from now... yada-yada-yada.
But the real clincher that makes me avoid the guy: when I was having difficulty getting my Spider to pass emissions, he told me that he has a set of jets (he didn't understand when I asked what size they were) that he puts in costomers' cars and then takes 'em to his friend to test. Then he brings the car back and puts the old jets back in "'cuz these cars just won't run right at this altitude". I discovered that weekend that I had a car he had done this with for a previous owner, and the incorrect jets were what was keeping it from passing, once the rest of the timing and etc was correct. (long story, you can follow it in another thread if ya like )
if you decide to chat him up, post back here, let us know how that goes!

I'm no Boy-Racer..... but if I can't take every on-ramp at TWICE the posted limit.... I'm a total failure!
