In order to be absolved of your sins, you must pledge allegiance to chrome bumper Spiders and forsake all others (especially '82s)

After such a thoughtful apology you ask too much of the man Bernie.
(Especially 82s indeed!)

is anyone familiar with the cobra style front bumpers. they where some of the 1st bumper on a cobra they would allow you to jack the front of the car up from them it was i think called a speed jack it was a jack with a pipe across and the pipe fit into the bumpers. i do not have a picture. but that is the bumpers i am trying to make work. still not sure how yet but. i will post pictures and all if they look alright. doing some machine work on the mounts tonight at work. than i will ask for fogivness to your chrome bumper gods. lol. this is nothing i will be selling ! but i will forward all how info if anyone is interested in the same for there car. when i figure it all out. tony

I don't think you want to know what i had to pay for just the bumpers (probably because they go on a cobra) they where $160 for 4 no mounts screws ect just the bumpers. but they are pretty !lol than a length of pipe. and now machining a cone to fit inside the pipe that reduces down to the bumper width so they don't look screwy and they still might. the pipe is about 2 1/2" in diameter and bumpers are about a 1 1/2 "

yeap thats them ! but i am trying to get away from the 2 long bolts. it doesn't work with the fiat body. or the bumper holes. if you wanted to make them work you would have to do some pre-planning before paint have the holes wielded shut then put the holes in for the bolts. i have tried the rear rubber from the rear bumper shocks. they don't fit right and look hokey. so there would have to be a body blank made to fit the hole. no i am not going to sell them, but i will figure it out and let everyone know how i did it. taking a break from designing car parts for a while.need to get back to working on my car get it done for next driving season. been working on to many other things and i have procrastinated it way to long need to get back to enjoying it. have some ideas of some things i would like to make for next year. and sell going to finish my car 1st for next year. than will start working on them.
