Starter

I blew my starter and now its time to either rebuild or replace. It looks like i will have to remove the entire intake manifold to have acces to the starter.
Am I correct in going about it in this way?

well, that's one way to do it, but pretty time consuming and a good way to start a chain of events you might not like. I always remove them from the bottom, tight fit but once the starter is positioned properly it drops out next to the steering box

I've not done the starter yet, but i have done the intake manifold recently.

i think i'd give it a go from underneath TWICE before i pulled that intake again.

that is, unless you were planning on some intake work anyway.
