More Shipping Fun
This is one I've never experienced before. Brady sent me a set of lug bolts to exchange for a longer set. He used a small flat rate priority mail box. It arrived today, with the box damaged, top open with two rubber bands holding it together. Inside was a cast iron mold for making chocolates with a Christmas theme; Santa, wreath, tree and reindeer. No sign of any lug nuts. I called Brady to verify what he put in the box and he's as puzzled as I am. So I called USPS customer service. Apparently there was some sort of accident along the way and more than one box was damaged, so items were put in boxes somewhat willy-nilly. Sort of a grab bag. I asked the rep what was the odds of someone else reporting receiving lug bolts instead of a chocolate mold. He expects me to win the lottery just before that happens
Re: More Shipping Fun
Well, you know what they say...when life gives you Christmas themed chocolate molds, make Christmas themed chocolate for everyone on the forum!
(that sucks btw)

Re: More Shipping Fun
Mark,
Are you counting on winning the Nigerian lottery? I certainly hope you're not, I've already won it. 3 times!
As soon as I get my 10 million I'll be ordering a new carb and some chocolates.

Re: More Shipping Fun
I wonder what would happen if you offered on eBay "Holiday chocolate moulds in exchange for automotive lug bolts"?
Re: More Shipping Fun
I too have won the Nigerian lottery several times and also the UK lottery. I just haven't had a chance to claim the prizes. I've been so busy collecting the dollars from my relatives that are royalty with funds trapped by their evil governments but I'll get around to it soon

Haha! We once received a package, empty, with a stamp on it that read:
"Package open. Delivered without contents", and an indecipherable signature below that.
Leave it to the post office!

I asked my mail carrier on Sat about this, and she said it happens all of the time. They just stuff the contents in any box and ship it
