what is a average round about figure to replace all parts in a 1438 engine. not including crank

1-2k. 1k going just stock and regular stuff and pushing 2k if going good pistons, cams, gaskets, rods, etc.

For $1000, I replaced the entire 1800 engine in my '76. Bought a used one in decent shape, then tore it down for thorough cleaning and all new gaskets, plugs, wires, etc. Also did the clutch.
