oil, vapor separator

I have the manifold off and noticed that the oil/ vapor separator is open. Should I plug it or leave it open? I'm running a 32/36 Weber with all the vacuum lines plugged.

Depends upon your vehicle inspection requirements and your conscience. You can attach it to the air cleaner where it was originally fitted, or buy a small racing filter to vent it to the atmosphere.

If you mean the long hose that runs from the vapor/oil separator is missing and the port is open, absolutely do not "plug" it. The lower crankcase must be vented to relieve crankcase pressure. Either install a hose with an aftermarket breather (filter) at the end of it or, better still, tie into the base of your carburetor.

i would not suggest running it to a vac line it sucks up oil and drops oil press.
