The drivers side door handle had started to flop around and it was obvious that the return spring was broken. I removed the lock and hadle and found the return spring had broken one of the arms. I wondered through several of the hardware stores and no one had a spring that was close enough to use. So I wondered through the tool department of the local ace, looking for tools that used similar springs. Surprise there in the discount line was a pair of wire strippers using the perfect spring. I paid my 6 bucks and headed home.
A little work at bending the arms to stay in place and presto! The handle is near perfect.
Just one of those things we learn as we get older, adapt and overcome!!!
Hope this helps a bit.

Re: Floppy outside door handle
Are you phsyciatric or what (phsycic) I was going to hack a spare door pull to get at that same spring because of the "flop"
We don't have Ace here locally but I'll snoop around on Tues (Monday Can. thanks giving) and see if I can find something similar.
