Suspension changes

Post by mkmskm »

I finally got the parts I needed to replace the short, long and Panhard bars in the rear. What a mess the old ones were. One had been broken and rewelded and the rubber was all shot. Now the car doesn't shift to the left each time I press in the clutch!! I'm waiting until the 500s come out at the local Dodge dealer since they know me (I have a Ram and the wife has a PT Cruiser Conv) and take the car in for something minor like an oil change and tell them - this is you guys now right :P :P

I believe it I've been using Fram PH8 Oil Filters for a Ford V8 almost 20 years now my uncle shared this
little secret with me a long time ago he was a Lancia Mechanic back when they were still sold here .

The cars were sold new in America with Fram PH7s. I got a chuckle going through some old FIAT parts boxes about 2 years ago and finding three PH7s I had bought new for my cars in 1973 (a BC coupe and a '72 spider). The hand written receipt from the NAPA store was still in the bag with the filters. They were only 87cents each!

wow 87 cents how i wish they cost that now ! the PH8 is much larger not sure what
the bennfit of more capacity would really do for a small 4 banger but the cost on these
is cheap so i still go with it . It seems the smaller the filter the more they cost !!!

Very interesting! I wonder why this has not come up in the past? A little extra filter surface and capacity of oil cannot hurt!
1978 Spyder 1800 make that 2L! Finally making real progress!

I use the Ac-Delco PF13 on all my Fiats. It's as big as the oil pan.
