I finished capping off my vaccum leaks and it fire right up and idled nicely I noticed some valve chatter coming from the intake side I went to turn it off then a haneious knock and no more starting is it a bent valve keeping it from turning over ? Now do I just pull the motor. Or just pull the head and .... me oh my its all so over wellming .

I'd check the timing belt alignment first, you should be able to turn the motor backwards by hand to line things up

So Mark I should turn the motor back and re check the timing marks ? Is this what you mean by Belt alignment? I think that's what you mean ? I'm kinda new at this so I apologize if I'm incorrect. I really appriciate your feedback its a light in a loooonnngg dark tunnel for me and with your guys help I know i'll be driving out the tunnel in my lil blue spider.

yes, by belt alignment I meant timing marks. Turn the motor backwards by hand of course (hard to get the starter to work in reverse, lol)

I'm pre heating the garage as we speak (damn Iowa winters -10 degrees wind chill Brrrr) thanks ill give it a go . Hopefully I havnt completely screwed the pooch on this one. I thought I was so close to having it at least run parked in the corner of the garage.

I don't know much about your car, but Is it not starting or not turning over? I had an intake valve get stuck open due to improper valve to guide clearance and it sounded like crap and was popping thru the intake. Hope it's something simple.
