I am going to go ahead and order a Duralast reman. starter. They're available at autozone for $65. Anyone have any qualms with this unit?
Also, is there any way to prevent future starter failures?

Also interested in the Durolast starter. Has anyone used one? Very cheap, only $50 plus a $15 core charge.
They list two units, one for manual and one for auto trans. Confused.... The part number for the auto version is 16257, which I have found in other sources.
