ive done a rolling restoation and it takes time pashion and money

i have a bucket of tranz parts.what part do you need?i bet its the shift fork
when you do everything correct people arent sure youve done anything at all (futurama)

Back in the old days I had a Fiat 124 sedan and I was driving like race driver until the transmission will not stay on the 2nd gear, same as my current issue. Thank you for your offer. I will first take the transmission apart and see the damage. I do have another transmission for parts.

joe, Is it possible to replace the shifting fork with trans. still in car. Im thinking this may be my problem also.

Yes, there is no work to be done with out having the transmission on the bench. I am already thinking how I will hold the transmission on my chest, under the car and so and so. I remember the day when I got transmission fluid on my hair, nasty. The biggest think is to locate the bad parts inside of the transmission. Sometime is easy sometime is not

Bummer ...... I do have a spare so with new gaskets I guess a swap out is in store. Thanks for the info.

If you know the history of the spare one is good, in my case I replaced a bad one with another bad one, so back to square one.

I was told it was a good one but who knows. Maybe it was just a selling point.
