Re: Front Headlights
FWIW we recently started carrying the domed Cibie H4 headlights, both with or without city-light. I have them in my Spider, and other than the improved lighting, I really like the way they look.

Re: Front Headlights
This is all pretty well documented; they provide a far better, sharper, wider, and longer pattern than a sealed beam; however, as mentioned, they are marked off road or motorcycle.burgandy81 wrote:Just went through a lighting upgrade with relays, new driving lights and some old school concave Cibie lights. All in all I am happy with what I have although I have yet to do any serious night time driving.
A couple of notes from my research.
1. The Bosch 7" lights marked motorcycle are specifically designed for bikes, they tend to work OK for VW Bus crowd as the Bus light is unusually high off of the road. It is my understanding that these lights are not ideal for passenger cars. Please review formal sources to ensure these lights will work for your application.
And mine are not domed, they are flat. The domed ones are available from Carello, Bosch, and Hella, for prices starting around $160/pr and up.

Or Cibie, for a lot less than that

Yes, of course, they are glass.
