Great to hear the gauge works !!
I have fun trying to help people troubleshoot electrical problems. It is different to use someone else's symptoms and test results than doing it yourself. Especially not actually seeing the car. For me its fun.

The last thing in the world I want to do is give someone the wrong information. I hope I didn't cause you to loose too much time.

You are safe on the signal lights. Not knowing the year of your car I can only suggest you check the fuse and the ground.
