I agree with post from aj81spider. This is correct for 1980-82 Spider 2000.'s I am not sure about other years. I think the ignition switch terminals are labeled the same but the wire colors and where they go after the ignition switch might be different for other year cars. Todd I think you said your car is an 82 so I believe you have the correct idea about your switch.

Pink wire feeds: ignition coil, Fuse 1 (A), and fuel injection double relay
Red wire Feeds: Starter solenoid, and fuel injection double relay
Blue/black wire feeds: headlights, battery charge lite. fuse 2 (B)

Actually, it's a 1979 2000, but everything holds true except for the fuel injection electrical supplies.
I also have this website bookmarked:

http://www.globallistics.com/spidersweb ... ndex0.html

which is a great site because it has all the electrical schemes for the different years and variations, and I've had a hardcopy print that I think I bought from Bayless 14 years ago.
The only thing I've been lacking is electrical routing through the ignition switch itself, and aj81spider's post gives me exactly that. Got it all figured out now, and I hope to either replace the switch, or add a relay to provide reliable voltage to the pink wire ignition circuit.
I sure appreciate all of your help, spider2081! I think I'll alter the subject title of the thread so that it will be more "searchable" for the next member that needs this kind of information,...
Thanks again,
Todd.
