My spider is ready for a weekend trip now with the luggage secured to the back! I think it looks fantastic so big thanks to my parents for the gift!

I'm jealous, I've been keeping my eyes out for something like your leather suitcase thinking it would look cool on the rack. Your pics proved I was right so now I have to begin looking harder. Nice car.

Before and after using Eastwood Calyx Manifold Dressing. Wow, what a difference it made!

Took a few minutes yesterday to check on the steering idler fluid. Following Pete's great instructions, I found the upper chamber to be dry (no surprise) and the lower chamber to be 3/4 full of dark, grey, thick fluid. I pumped it out with a vacuum pump and cleaned it out the best I could, and topped off both chambers with gear oil.

Excellent! That is what this forum is all about. Sharing data and experience (I have little of either, but it is growing and I will keep posting as long as it is helpful).

Did you use that on your cam covers also? Looks great!

Yep, I used it on the whole exhaust manifold and as much of the cam boxes/covers as I could get to without taking it apart. It's great stuff

Definitely! It's going to be a great event. I'm managing the Poker Run this year, so I hope many of you guys get a chance to participate.

Thanks for the tip. Pete had recommended it to me so I think I'll invest the $25 or so. Expect to have the hood open a lot soon!

Nick: Raynham is a good meeting point about half way. They have a cruise every other Thursday at the old dog track. Couple hundred nice cars, great food/music, and now maybe TWO Italian cars.

It alternates Thursdays with the Bass Pro Foxboro Cruise (2000+ cars, not kidding....)

Finally had a chance to get the Spider out of the garage... to load on a flatbed tow truck!

This winter, I've done a lot of maintenance and modification, but I'll be sending it to a mechanic in our local club for the water pump/timing belt.

I completed:
-New front brakes (hard lines, flex lines, pads, rotors, caliper seal kits)
-Taillights (un-doing the mess from the PO)
-Allison's front turn signals
-cleaned cam towers and exhaust manifold with Calyx coating
-Soft fuel lines + filter
-changed steering idler fluid and cleaned up assembly
-Radiator and hoses
-Fixed the frozen wiper valence and motor
-added side and wheel emblems
-Installed luggage rack
-Installed trunk LED lighting
-Wired up cigarette lighter
-New Bosch ignition coil
-Hoping to put a radio in before Freakout!!
