1983 FIAT Spider noisy fuel pump

i also had a loud fuel pump and swapped it and the filter out only to find i still had a loud fuel pump.

Issue turned out to be the fuel hose from the gas tank. The original hose was replaced with gates fuel line that you can get at the local auto stores. This hose would kink a little between the gas tank and the fuel pump. I could find the kink when on a lift and when I would alleviate it the sound would go away.

Swapped to the spec hose that the fiat dealers sell and problem gone! FYI the online hose that works is actually cheaper than buying the gates hose locally.

I will look at that hose, Just got the car registered and a Mass. Inspection sticker. Long time working on the brakes and other things, Now on to other things, Thanks!
