When I got my latest Spider (1980 FI 2000) there was an electronic organizer (SHARP)and a wireless remote for the stereo under the back seat. The real score was in the trunk: A new canvas top still in the box...sweet!
Also a center dash section with gauges in the trunk.
One the other hand, there were several exhaust manifold bolts missing...easy fix tho

What Have you found in your Spider ?
Re: What Have you found in your Spider ?
My car was purchased in new in Italy and driven around for 4 years before it was imported. So when I gutted the interior I found a couple of Italian coins (Lira- oh how exciting!), a plastic pearl earring (not so exciting) and a multi-pocket knife (a bit rusty). I mailed the knife back to the original owner.
I was hoping to find more money or other treasures, but to no avail. I kept the coins- they are in the restoration photo album.

Among other junk, I found one insole from a shoe (left). How or why it got there, I don't know but it went out with the old carpet. Not my size after all.

Re: What Have you found in your Spider ?
My current spider got shipped over from San Diego. In the drivers side front wheel well was a black widow spider, that I left alone and I guess she eventually died or moved on. Under the center console I found some " seeds" that could grow a certain illegal substance.

Had to take the seeds to a lab to have the species identified, did you Matt?

Maybe those seeds were the PO's plan to finance his/her restoration efforts. Plant, harvest, sell...... Fix Fiat!

Re: What Have you found in your Spider ?
In my 78 parts car, I found a small can of the red paint that the PO had used to hand paint the black original color. He obviously left it for me in case I want to touch up it up Also found two plastic wheel covers (sort of fan shape), chromed, and two original hubcaps. Interestingly, there are matching ones on the car. Could it be coincidence?

It seems many of us have found contraband botanical items.
When I replaced my seats I found an unlit joint trapped under one of them. I think it was 1980s vintage. There was also a change of clothes and a Lit CD and a Rush CD. Since it bought it from a friend I gave those back.
I also found a bunch of medical paperwork from a previous owner (complete with social security number, name, address, etc., people should really be more careful) maintenance history going back to about 1990 and the original 1975 owners manual and warranty booklet complete with original owner's name, telephone and address, the name and signature of the salesman who sold the car and name and location of the dealership delivery date and key codes used (cool cool cool). There were warranty coupons for repairs that have been torn out from the rest of the booklet and papers detailing the work performed...
In my Jeep I found old paycheck stubs and bank statements from the previous owner (with name, social security number, account numbers, financial stuff, addresses and telephone numbers) seriously people should be more careful with private info.

I found the original warranty book with coupons in the 72 I just stripped but nothing else. Anything of value probably fell through the holes in the floorboard.

Re: What Have you found in your Spider ?
My '82 had a new cloth top in the trunk, og owners & warranty books, a few dead mice and when I moved the seat ahead I found a bunch of tools, test lights, jumper wies etc. I cleaned the grounds and put in a new hazzard switch and ign switch and everything worked! The ign sw was a bit wierd, sometimes the car would crank & crank but not fire, but if you turned it off and one several times it woud fire right up.
The '72 just had mouse nests and turds.
