My tank is delivering clean fuel one year after using the POR-15 kit. But it took me about a week to preform the procedure; the tank must dry completely between steps. If you can find a "muffin" fan (typically used in a desktop PC) and rig a bracket to hold it over the sender opening, you'll hasten the drying process.

In addition to the items in the POR-15 kit, you'll need a copy of "The Buena Vista Social Club" CD, to help you slosh the materials around thoroughly

When you remove the sender, make sure the "sock" filter on the end of the pickup is intact. The earlier pickups used a bronze screen that disintegrates over time; newer units use a polyester filter. You can probably obtain a universal replacement, if necessary, from your local auto parts store.
