Huzzah!

It was the brake shield. Took off the wheel, made some minor adjustments and voila. Dropped her off at the garage for alignment and sway bar install. Hopefully, pick her up by Friday.

There was a Triumph TR6 already inside in pieces

Spoke with my garage this morning and they indicated that before even doing the alignment that the drivers side control arm is sitting about an inch or more lower than the passengers side. They indicated there may be an issue getting this done  They suggested I may have to look for new springs?!? After speaking with them and informing them that I am the only person who has removed the springs and that they have been installed correctly and they were completely fine in Nov 2012 they said they are going to give it a good look and let me know. A little nervous however, I can wait another week if need be. :|

VERY IMPORTANT QUESTION  Should the lower ball joints (once installed) have any sideways movement? My garage called and said that they cannot do the alignment due to the fact that it would appear that the ball joints are faulty :x R U F8CKING KIDDING ME?!?!

The garage indicated there was some concern in the amount of play horizontally in the lower ball joints on both sides :?
I have a solution in the works, as always I will keep you posted

So yesterday was my 42nd birthday, and rather than be bummed out I waited until this morning to post this info.

This is what happened on my 5 min drive back from the garage yesterday possibly due to the suspension issues I have been recently experiencing.

Anyone know a good person/location in Ottawa where I can get this repaired? Keep in mind this is not going to be a concourse repair. Are there some parts I can get to replace this area.

Thanks
Jay

Jay, What caused that to happen? Seems like an odd place for structural damage from shock towers, or control arms. Did you lose a ball joint?

No idea :? I do not believe that I have lost anything (took some time away over the weekend to cool down & clear my head) I will get under her tonight and have a look. Some have suggested that there had been undue stress put on the body due to the incorrect suspension parts etc being on the car. It is a very short/smooth drive from the garage to my house (all in city streets) so no outside/road issues. Just looking to now resolve 2 issues instead of just the suspension (which is still outstanding :x ). I really need to learn how to do body work for times like these :|

your fender flaire looks larger than stock. this would imply that mods have been done with either bondo or fiberglass and it has broken loose from the now rusty metal underneath. May not be a simple repair.

I had not initially noticed the size of the fender flares, but they do look large. I would check with a magnet at each of the other flares and see if you have the same body filler condition. I wouldn't think that control arms and the like would make that happen to the fender. Many of us have modified with stiffer springs , shocks and sway bars withouth that happening to the car. I suspect azruss is correct and that some body work has separated from the underlying sheet metal, (and/or) someone or something has leaned into the fender flare to cause that damage.
Let us know what you find

Tried however, they are busy. I did get an email from http://www.aleksautobody.com Alex himself said they could take a look (Approx $400) Just need to arrange a time. My new arms/bushings are going out tomorrow and should be here in a week or so

Jay,
I used Alek's AutoBody to fix a repair on my Nissan Sentra (too many teenage drivers in my house!). The work was good and on-time but he tried to increase the price after he started the work. Maybe this is normal for auto body work but it was a pretty simple repair. The work has stood the test of time (2 years so far). No rust.
