I don't want to worry you Sambo42, and you may not have this problem, but I'm struggling to work out the best way to tackle this. As you can see in the photo the wheel (which is only just far enough to the right to be comfortable when seated) is well to the right of the central temperature gauge hole in the dash panel.
When I make the new dash panel I can move everything right as you suggested to line it up, but I've got to move it 25mm and I'm pretty sure I won't have enough room for the fuel gauge to stay on the far right.
I don't really know what's going on here. I've seen lots of photographs of converted cars and the dash looks fine on those.
