So I finally made some progress!!
I found a new home for the MSD box, not on the dash but behind it!
With my removable dash top, this should be a decent solution.
Then I spent some time cleaning up the wheel well and reorganizing.
Here's a good engine bay shot even if I'm still missing a few things...
Feels great to make a little progress again!

Looks great!!did you redo all the brake lines or did you just clean them up? I had to cut my front passenger side hard line because the fitting was frozen on the caliper, I went with stainless on that line however I have not bent it into shape yet. I hope mine look as good as yours!
Is that a security module next to the ignition, I am going with a push button start and would like some ideas.
Keep up the great work!

Thanks Pat!
I did run all new brake lines. With a few minutes of practice you will be a master!
The black box is part of the keyless/ push start system.
I went with this:
http://www.advancedkeys.com/Prod_AK104B.html
It been a little tricky installing all the different components that make up the electrical system, painless harness, separate relay banks for lighting, push start, MSD, stock electronic dizzy, new alt and starter...
I have quite a folder going with notes for a new wiring diagram.

You are a brave man replacing the whole system! My brother built a Brunton V8 with an ISIS system, I had looked into using that one however my car had no electrical issues so I am going to just try to adapt what I have. Thank you for the link.

I have learned a lot with this harness and have decided when I redo the 77 I am going to pull the entire harness and remake it to stock. As Brad Artigue will tell you, the original system is good. I would not have attempted this until now.
I am very happy to have new wiring in the car and very much enjoy sorting it all out.
Until Cormac told me about the Isis system, I had not heard of it. Interesting to say the least!!

So, "wider track for the spider"
While waiting for my top end, I am playing with spacers and offsets. I want it to look meaty, for lack of a better word.
Too much?
Or does this look better?

I like the 2 nd one, less chance of drirt and gravel hitting the paint behind the wheel well, unless you put a clear 3m paint protector over the paint like my old 944 had.

I'm thinking mud flap, either way.
Still, I agree, the first picture is pushing the limits...
