Shame you can't gold plate the rubber huh Jim?
I will install a full cover under the motor to keep trash from getting kicked up into the timing belt. It is my belief that the covers on the timing belt where installed to keep idiots from getting there hair caught up. Remember, it was the 70s! Didn't we all have long hair?

Lol gold is in
Actually one of the cam covers won't work on the 2.0 that's gold, so I have to rebuild a 1608 to the limits just for them,

Thanks to Csaba for fantastic instructions on the needed mods to link the IDF 44s on the manifold it went very smoothly today.
I got the linkage swapped out and the necessary bits trimmed. Then I went about drilling and tapping for my vacuum advance.
The individual lines will feed a manifold and one line will go to the dizzy.
Then I went around and checked everything and finished torquing down and marking the rest of the bolts.
I made better progress today than I thought I would so maybe some evening this week I'll get the thing in under the car. Just have to remember to fills the transmission while it is easy!!

To pull a vacuum on the distributor (I know, "that ugly dist.") in order to keep a constant vacuum across all four intake runners.
