Any ideas on why my tachometer quit working? It was working yesterday, today it is not.

Re: 79 Spider tach not working
It's a fiat, maybe caught a disease off the clock?
Check the connection on the -ve side of the coil?

Check the basics, that the wire didn't simply fall off the coil. Then remove the distributor cap and check that the pickup wires are frayed and shorting on the dizzy body. Then remove the tach and use a voltmeter on the connections at the back.
Oh they also can stick, so give it a good thump.
