Hi, I have just been accepted as a new member to the forum and wanted to introduce myself. Its my first Fiat and I'm ready to be a proud owner. I live in Lincoln Nebraska.
I am waiting, (trying to be patient) to pick up my first Fiat. I anticipate I will go pick it up within a couple of weeks. Its only 150 miles away so that is a good situation. Its is a 1978 Model 1800. I am planning on cleaning it up and installing new parts where necessary. It seems to be mostly all there and runs fine. Needs a little TLC though.
I have trolled around while waiting for my membership to be accepted and I am definitely impressed with the knowledge and friendly people here. I am doubly excited now.
I'll get a few pictures up ASAP. I'd like to show everyone what it looks like when I get it and maybe when I get it cleaned up a bit.
This is a great forum with a lot of information and I looked forward to being a member and learning more about my new endeavor.
My supportive wife calls it a second childhood and mid-life crisis, Go figure!

Re: New member from Nebraska
My wife said I was too old for a mid life crisis or to be thinking about a second childhood. She figured my rekindled fascination with Fiat was just an old guy looking for something to occupy his time.
Regardless, welcome to the forum. You will find all kinds of help here for pretty much anything you need.

Welcome. Yes this forum is a teriffic place to help get your fiat sorted.
My wife as well does not mind me mucking about with the car. I just had to tell her that if I'm going to look under the hood of a 30 year old italian red head... it'll be a car

HI,
I'm not aweful far away if you ever need anything.
Good thing you a supportive wife. I suppose its better to have a 30+ year old girl that is a car, not human, but these cars do have, Personalities, temperments, quirks, all the same traits.

Welcome to the forums!
Can you think of a better thing to drive during a mid-life crisis?
An Italian sports car for me.
But my wife said it's a mid-life crisis but since she bought me the car she can't complain to much...
