Distributor plug wires plugs order ?

Post by KalamazooJohnny »

How do I really know? Image
This is how my distributor is connected to my spark plugs. Does this look right? It seems to run better like this since I switched plug wire #2 and #4, but I can't find a diagram for this anywhere? Could the order change on different cars?

I'm the farthest thing from an expert, but the firing order of the cylinders is 1-3-4-2, which matches the order of the wires in your picture of your distributor. It also matches the wires coming off the distributor in the picture in the factory manual on page 10-13.

Hope that helps.
