Fiats at the Concorso Italiano

Post by dparnas »

Had an amazing day down at the Concorso Italiano yesterday in Carmel. Had my Orange 1971 124 Spider there on display alongside many many Fiats, including another 6-7 124 Spiders. My orange spider was there next to a 1968 yellow Spider, a green 1971 spider and a burgundy 1978 spider. There was a dizzying array of Ferrari's, Lamborghini's, Maserati's and more. Fiat was a key sponsor of the event and was giving out espresso and sorbet at their booth. Hung out with a great group of Fiat owners from Norcal and around the country, including Alberta Canada and Texas. Some pretty awesome Fiats there, other than Spiders, including a Dino Spider and Dino coupe, some great old 500s and other unique cars. Already looking forward to going back down next year.

I think I saw that yellow spider last week in Costa Mesa. It was gorgeous. I stopped and took pictures, and drooled over it for about 5 minutes. Looks like an awesome event, I'd love to see some more pics of those other Italian beauties.

The burgundy Spider from Alberta visited me on Wednesday before heading back north. It's a beauty. If you get more pics, please post them

Ask and you shall receive. How about a Fiat Dino Spider, an Aventador, an Enzo, and more eye candy.

It was definitely not flashy for sure, but it was still quite popular, with the 500 cabrio and giving out espresso and sorbet, there was quite a crowd there.

Dparnas,

Don't think I caught your name at the show, but I think it was you who let me try out your Procar seats? If so, thanks again for the time. Procar's headquarters are about 10 minutes away from where I live, as it turns out, so I'll be heading by next week to inquire about a pair.

Thanks again,
Rory

Hi Rory
Were the procar seats the Elite model or the Rally model and what were your thoughts? Thanks

They were the Rally model and they seemed pretty comfy from the half minute I sat in them. The owner (dparnas) seemed very happy with them and said they bolt up to the stock seat runners with minimal modification, which echos other owners' experiences that I've heard.

Procar is located in Southern California. Wonder if they'd be interested in a group buy situation?
