Red 124 Spider Spotting in AL

Hey guys,

I'm new to the forum (hi!), and just recently bought a '76 Fiat 124 Spider (more on this soon). I've been lurking for the past week or so and have learned a lot so far.

Anyways, I was driving around the Auburn University campus (I'm a sophomore in electrical and computer engineering) one Saturday afternoon and saw a beautiful red 70s Spider going the opposite direction. I was going over a speed bump at the time I passed him, so I was able to roll down my window and yell, "NICE CAR!" Just wondering if you're on here! This was my first Spider spotting that I can think of in my life other than the one I own. I think it was around 1974, as I don't remember seeing the Fiat logo on the hood; just the grill.

Anyone in the Auburn/Opelika area?
