Trunk Lid Differences by Year?

Rather then patching a hole in the trunk lid of my 81 I am looking to replace it. I realize that the method for keeping the trunk lid open changed over the years but has the shape??? Will the trunk lid from a 78 work on an 81?

i didnt have mt trunk lid replaced.id say yes it will fit
i do have a 80s style hood i needed new style hinges and hood spring and latch.MUCH better!
