Hello all;
I am new to this forum, but have a nice 71 spider for many many years (my wife bought it in 72). I am having a difficult time removing the horn button as I have new cluster switches to replace. I thought you just pushed and gave a twist. What am I missing. I do not want to break it. If I do break it in removing, are replacements available.
Thanks
Bud in Seattle

Use a thin blade screw driver or popsicle stick between the outer plastic retaining ring and the metal steering wheel. Pry up the outer plastic ring. Disconnect the fuse or relay or battery to prevent excessive honking as you work.

There are three plastic tabs that hold the bezel in place. Info and photo on p.4 of this document:

Attachment systems vary with age. In 71/72, you need a pallette knife or similar and slide on top face of wheel, under edge of button & suround, then twist / pry up button & surround to pull 3 barbed plastic pegs that go thru oblong holes in wheel hub.

Thanks to all of you for your collective responses. I especially would like to thank Bartobernie for the excellent link to Painless electrical harness info. This is really a valuable print out for my Fiat electrical file. Now I can proceed to put in my new cluster column switches.
Cheers,
Bud
