Hello everybody,
I am a newcomer living in Bari, Italy.
Purchased a Spider America 1981 Limited Edition for Pininfarina 50 years activity.
The car is now under repair and I look forward to driving it asap.

Benvenuto Giuseppe!

Interesting that an LE made it back to Italy, that's pretty neat.
What are they repairing?

Hello Giuseppe, greetings from up north.
I'm a little sad because I have to put the cars away for the winter in a week or two due to frost and salty roads.
Better climate in Italy, maybe?

Ciao Giuseppe,
Do you own LE #320, or is there another Giuseppe in Italy with an Anniversary Spider? Up until recently I maintained the registry for the Anniversary Spiders, I turned the registry over to my good friend Geoff in Australia (who should have just received his own LE via California), so I am sure at some point in the near future he will be contacting you to update the registry.

I was aware of at least 4 in Italy, although I thought the Giuseppe with #320 was in Milano. I'm orginally from Molfetta and was last there for my honeymoon 11 years ago, but have lived in California all my life. Still, it's nice to know of an Anniversary Spider so close to my home town.

Sorry for the so late answers, I just forgot I was "in the club".
Thanks everybody for the so warm welcome.
The car has undergone 2-3 times to reparation for the high temperature of water. Then i found a good cooler and apparently now it works.
I have to make several other interventions, first of all to change the top which is black (while that version as a beige one) and the wheels. It willl be quite difficult to find the right model, which is Cromodora CD19. Hopefully friends in this forum will help me!
@Saverio: I have #161 if I am not wrong. I am from Bari and now I work in Milan but I come back to Bari every we to find my family and my 124 :D please give my name to the registry holder.

Giuseppe
There is a complete set of the correct wheels on Ebay right now. Shipping would probably be horribly expensive, and I doubt the seller would want to ship overseas anyway, but if you're interested I'm sure myself or someone else on the forum can assist. There have been a couple of sets for sale over the past few years, so I can check around if you can't find a set over here (my guess your best bet would be to find a set in Germany from another LE owner that has upgraded to different wheels).

I'll pass your info on the registrar (I'm way overdue to send him an email). If your car is indeed #161 according to our records it was in Germany (Niedersachsen) as of the late '90s, and was exported from the USA in 1994.

Ciao,

I just saw that! That is ridiculous. He's been trying to sell these for over a month with no offers, so he's definitely not going to sell them at his "new" price. Seeing how he operates I wouldn't buy from him now even at his original price. Forget him, we'll find you another set. It might take a little time, but there are others out there.

He told me that price for me will be the same!
Now I need the clock and the top.

I bought these wheels from jack for $550 this week. They are in very good condition.
Turns out his business is 4 km from my home.
