Hello,
Well, I finally found a 1974 Fiat Spider just like the one I bought as my first car in high school. It's dark green with a tan interior. Found it on eBay on the West coast. Bought it from the daughter of the original owner. Still has its original paint, top, and interior. Was originally bought in Minnesota and rustproofed new. Not driven in snow or salt and used as a weekend car. Moved to the West coast about 12 years ago.
It drives pretty well although the suspension is showing its age. I plan to drive it as is for the next year and then I will do a nut-and-bolt restoration. I'm going to make some upgrades to the engine, suspension, and brakes. I will replace the interior, but keep it stock looking. I want more power, but I want the car to still be comfortable to drive around town, so not too hairy.
I have many questions!
David
