Hi everyone!
I'm about to own a '79 Spider! My dad has had it for as long as I can remember; I love this thing. Unfortunately, he's had it garaged on the East Coast for about 15 years, so I'm not quite sure what condition it's in. We're working on setting up a road trip around the end of the summer, and soon! She will be mine, oh yes, she will be mine!
I've been browing this forum for the past couple of weeks and figured I might as well join. So, uh... Hi!

Re: New Member in Seattle
Hello;
I live in Seattle and have a 71 Spider. I am pretty good with the electrical issues and have found some nice local resources. Friday I am putting new front brake calipers on, with an auto mechanic friend, and can give you some help/advice when you get your car out to Seattle. A cross country in an old Fiat would be exciting. You know, if you get the brakes and running gear checked out with good tires, you should be OK. Figure on a week of driving. This forum is very good and you can usually get the answers you need for your car. Good luck and let me know when you get your Fiat out here. Crummy day here today, so mine stays inside.
Cheers,
Bud

Re: New Member in Seattle
I'm another new member in Seattle, and am bringing my '77 Spider (my first car, bought years ago in High School and kindly garaged, or should I say, "barn-ed" by my parents for almost 20 years!) up to the rainy state from California. Can anyone recommend a good mechanic in the Seattle or Bellevue area? Thanks in advance!
