Fiat/Seat fan from Carrboro, North Carolina

Hello all,
my name is Abel, I am originally from Spain where I remember seeing a lot of Seats (Fiats under Spanish license) on the streets. These, like in Italy, where the 'people's car' of the 70s and 80s. So I definitively grew up with them and many people around me had the popular Seat 124 (also called Lada in Russia, Murat in Turkey......)
I joined this forum because I have a very personal connection with these cars and also because I would like to own (one day) a Spider.
While I am here, out of curiosity, I wanted to ask anybody on this forum if they know of any Seat 124 or Fiat 124, or anybody who owns one. I don't have Spider yet (though I own a 1978 Mini), but I see them around in North Carolina, where I live right now.
I hope to learn a lot from the people on this forum,

Welcome Abel! I'm in the Winston-Salem area and have a few Fiats. I'm also organizing an event called the Dixie Fiatfest that will be held Labor Day weekend. It's a great way to see plenty of Fiats and to meet the owners. If interested, email me at spyderlady71@yahoo.com
