Pulley swap from Marelli to Bosch Alternator?
Has anyone successfully swapped over the pulley and fan from a late 70's Marelli alternator to a Bosch unit? The remanufactured Bosch unit I bought comes with a bare shaft. I got the pulley off the Marelli, but the keyway is different, and I think the spacer is too. Annoying!

I've looked at them before and they did not look compatible...

Re: Pulley swap from Marelli to Bosch Alternator?
I would love to if it was available. Most suppliers do not sell remanufactured Marelli alternators, except for Vick, and they want $159. Ouch. There is conflicting info on whether or not one can put a Bosch unit in a car that had a Marelli in it. Some say yes and some say no. I have not found anyone that sells Bosch pulleys.majicwrench wrote:GET THE RIGHT PART

The Fiat parts vendors sell alternators with pulleys, FWIW.
Return the Bosch and see if you can get the Marelli rebuid by a local alternator/starter shop.
