1970 Restoration Begins

The restoration of my baby begins today, the boss (AKA the wife) let me make my first parts purchase, top and bottom radiator hoses. I have had the car for about 5 months but due to work related injury and moving and Christmas there has not been any money to start. Now the fun starts. I am going to get the car running again, it ran when I got it but the radiator was full of gunk and it was leaking a bit around the thermostat. Here is a picture of my baby, her name is Serenity because that is the way that I feel when I am working or driving her.

Frame the first receipt as it will be the Cheapest order you will ever make. Parts don't cost much until you realize it needs EVERYTHING
Have fun! Brian

Update on the restoration. Tore the interior out of Serenity last week, it was very satisfying for me, wife didn't mind too much it kept me out of her hair quit abit. here are some pictures.
Wiring what a mess, I did label all the clusters.
Ratty insulation
Passenger side floor no rust just left over insulation
Rear floor panels
Missing inner shift boot
Door Panels what was the PO thinking Duck Tape
Dash and Center Console more Duck Tape
Waiting on parts from Auto Ricambi, new carpet, shift boots, door weather stripping, EZ-Cool insulation off ebay, I will have to wait for new door panels until next month.
