After months of being all apart I started it up. I can't seem to find the throttle cable. The bolt that holds the hood spring on is missing as well. Still need a few things to complete the restore.

Congratulations on a job well and quickly done! Did you rebuild the engine. If so what did it entail. I am thinking of buying a 1608 a local guy is selling for 50. If I do I'd like to rebuild it to a fast "street" spec once I figure out what that means
