My car has sat for awhile. The discs are all rusted. What is the best way to clean them off?

Are you going to take the rotors off? regardless ,going to tell a story again... when I run wet wood through my planer and the beds get a touch of rust on them (still use furneture polish on the beds) I use an orbital sander with a brown scouring pad instead of sand paper. That with some spray brake cleaner will have them shiny again. If you buy them new I think they are around the $20.00 each.

A couple panic stops should do the trick!

Yep, if you want them clean quick spray a little brake cleaner on them and then drive the car. They will shine like new.

That is what I usually do, but the rust seems heavy. Thought about scotch brite pads to dress them a little. I am replacing the calipers with NOS ones.
