1978 Exhaust System

Choices (all as listed in Vick Auto Catalogue):
(1) Stock galvanized steel (mechanic recommending painting it)
(2) 2.25 Performance
(3) 2.25 Performance Ceramic
I live in Toronto, Ontario area. I will not drive the car a lot, just occasional cruises during the good weather. The car will be stored over the winter. I am the original owner and do not expect to live forever so am not terribly interested in the exhaust system living forever. Ha, ha.
I am leaning towards option (1) as I want to maintain the car in its original configuration. I'm not even particularly interested in having the system painted, as galvanized steel is pretty darned good, esp. if I keep it away from the winter salt.
Opinions? Thanks.

well on my 78 i have vicks headder and stock center then an anza muff--this sys sounds great
but is a bit of a waste,as its made for duel 40 carbs and big intake valves with a CAM to match

the original sys was bent near the rear of the center section but in good shape when removed
i also store it for winter hoping to keep the rust at bay

hope this helps.joe

I would go stock. Our stock center is the Euro version and it's just a bit larger than the US one. It also has only one resonator instead of two.
