Hi
Restoration almost finished, however I have a few electrical problems that the forum might be able to help.
1. the car starts and the indicator lights work and so does the brake lights, but when I turn the head lights on I have no dash lights, no side lights, no plate lights and no rear lights?
2. I have 2 wires coming from the gearbox and I don't know where they go, any ideas and has this got something to do with item 1?
I have also removed the heater and fan will this cause any issues?
Look forward to hopefully getting some advice.

Re: Lakeland 84 spider electrical issues
A couple of things. it is possible you have removed a ground in removing the heater fan and this could be creating the issue with the instrument lights. The others are probably tied in with the rear light ground that connects with the left rear taillight. the front markers should ground on the stars on the inner fenders. check those out. Dont forget to check your fuses. If the headlights work, then you have power to the front of the car thru the light switch. You need to follow the wires from the tranny. my guess is you will find a sending unit on the back of the tranny, this is the switch for your backup lights.
