Jack Bracket

I recently purchased an 81 Spider. In the trunk I found (among other things) a scissor jack and wrench which appear to be OE. On the passenger side of the trunk there is a bracket which looks like it is supposed to hold the jack. There is also a short strap with a ring on each end. Is this bracket for the jack and wrench? If so, how the heck does the jack/wrench fit into the bracket? I played around with it for a while but I can't figure it out. If you know please sent picture or detailed explanation because I must be a little slow. :?: Thanks

I am assuming it holds the jack in place

Ok lets see if I can do this. I am out off town and my Spider if at home so no pictures. One end of the jack and I don't remember which goes in a hold which is in front of the bracket. The jack will now set in the bracket and the strap will hold it in place. It took me a while to figure this out. It stays in place very well. The jack handle I put in with the tire, If there is a better place please let me know.

I think I got if figured out. I did not see the other part of the bracket farther up in the wheel well. The threaded rod goes into a grommet up way up in the fender and the other end sits in the bracket. In this configuration the strap holds it in very solid. Thanks. :D
