Has anyone ever tried to fix one of these (sealbelts/handbrake light delay switch) relays?
This one comes out of my 1980 Spider.
The coil is made of a very fine wire insulated with fiber. Mine seems to have lost some of the insulation, which may explain why it won't work (recloses) when it's warm.
Any idea on what kind of material that is? and what's been used for the (orange) soldering?

Re: Sipea 0218 Delay Switch Relay
So, I cut off the non-isolated wire and re-soldered it.
It didn't work. This relay is a normally closed, and should open (turning off the seatbelt and hand brake lights) after a short while. It didn't, so I'm getting one from Midwest Bayless.
Oh well, I tried.
